Away Day June 23rd
Lauro Golf
What an "away day" at Lauro Golf on Tuesday, superbly organised by Dave "The Fysh" ๐๐๐ So who managed to 'perform' on the course, and who's performance failed to rise to the occasion ๐๐ On a lovely picturesque course, the moviestar golfer got his 'Oscar', with Steve 'Jason' Hill scoring a massive 38 points ๐ฅ๐๐พ....Great golfing from the shy guy superstar ๐คฆ๐ปโ๏ธ In second place, on a fabulous 37 points was Mr i-golf 'Trevor', who delivered a giant performance on the day ๐๐ฅณ Great golfing you guys.....
3rd & 4th place were also awarded as some NTPs free'd up prizes. So, 3rd on 35 points was Rodney and 4th on 34 points was Del ๐๐๐
NTP on hole 11 was Jim 'Poldark' Rutter and Longest Drive was the big Dutch man "Menno" ๐ช๐ฅณ Thanks to all the boys for participating on a hot, hot day and for the great organisation ๐ฅOnwards to the next big challenge and lowering our handicaps ๐ค
Saturday 20th
Saturday was preparations for the big away day, so everyone wanted to perfect their game.......and it was a battle of the chuckle brothers for the title (to you, to me). At the end we couldnt separate Rodney & Steve who were on 16 points but, after several countbacks, Rodney took the prize ๐ฅณ๐ But, there's more.....NTP on hole 6 was Rodney and hole 8 was Steve ๐ฑ......so 3rd & 4th were awarded. 3rd was Dr Garry on 14 points and 4th was Dave CW on 14 points ๐ฅ๐ Finally, Longest Drive on the 7th hole was a beauty from Phil ๐ช๐
Normal service resumes on Thursday after the away day and Rodney/Steve promised not to win everything again ๐ ๐คช Keeeeeeep swinging....
Thursday 18th
Salt n Pepper Thursday had one clear winner today, and it was just what the Doctor ordered ๐จ๐ปโ๏ธDoc Garry cut thru the course like a scalpel and surgically removed the bottle of Gov'nor prize with 16 points, as well as the NTP prize on hole 8 ๐ฅ๐Brilliant ๐. Second place was awarded due to this and Zahid, also on 16 points, won a deserved bottle too ๐พ๐ฅณ As for the rest, we enjoyed the chips ๐ ๐คช Let's do it all again on Saturday ๐โ๏ธ๐
Tuesday 16th
Sweaty Tuesday saw a big turn out at La Noria, with lots of hopefuls wanting the 1st prize of 'the guv'nor' ๐พ....but "there can be only one" ๐ก So who won the battle of the bandits? It was a return to superhero form by our Eddie, scoring a fab 19 points ๐ฅ๐ฅณ๐ Second was our visitor Mark on 17 points and he had a NTP on hole 8 too๐ซก๐ No NTP on hole 6, therefore third & fourth prizes were awarded. 3rd on a good 16 points was Tommy's boy 'Maddox' ๐ฅณ ....and 2 tied on 15 points for 4rth prize....but the Dick Dasterdly of golf "Steve Hill", stole it from Trevor ๐ Special mention to Tommy and Don Paul's sons....who both beat their dad's....hang your heads in shame boys ๐ซฃ๐คช See you all on Thursday boys and bring your sunscreen ๐ฅ
Saturday 13th June

A hot and humid Tuesday saw some old friends return to the S&H....and boy did they make their presence felt ๐ฅ The first 3 ball took the awards with that cheeky Irish man "flash" Donal, winning on 17 points ๐พ๐ He has the quickest set up & execution ever....no messing ๐ฅณ Robert B and Dave 'the fysh' were second on 16 points....but Robert took it with the lowest handicap ๐๐ NTP on difficult hole 6 was Robert 'Terminator' Todd, whilst on the easy 8th hole, Don Paul managed to get one close ๐โณ๏ธ Well played boys, and enjoy the wine......we do it all again on Thursday, with salt n pepper chips ๐ ๐ฅณ
Saturday 6th June
It was Super Saturday today at La Noria, and the test was a very difficult 18 holes, from the championship white tees ๐ฅโณ๏ธ The sun was hot, but the moviestar golfer Steve 'Jason' Hill, was in blockbuster form, scoring 40 points ๐ฌ ๐๐โ๏ธ๐ Second on 36 points was the Irish rover 'Wayne', 3rd on 35 points was John S and 4th on 33 points was Del.....enjoy the wine boys ๐พ๐ท NTPs were won by Menno, Drew & Steve โณ๏ธ๐ฏ๐ A super, tiring day of difficult golf on very difficult tees. Thursday 28th
Salt n pepper Thursday had one clear winner......and he's back with a bang ๐ฅ Mr i-golf 'Trevor' said he'd get his mojo back....and a 17 point winning round proved that ๐๐ฅณ Del had one of his poorest rounds, but a consolation ๐พ eased this with NTP on the 8th โณ๏ธ And thanks to Don Paulo for buying the chips after Spurs avoided the drop ๐ Great patter and fun as always boys.....now get set to Scramble on Saturday ๐ค
Tuesday 26th May
It's was Señior Simons 'going away game' and he kindly donated 6 bottles for todays competition (even though he leaves on Sunday) ๐๐๐ So it was all to play for under the hot sun. La Noria was in superb condition so good scores were anticipated ๐โณ๏ธ Two golfers scored a cracking 18 points to take the glory, and it was Jim 'Saga tours' Rutter who won the prestigious first prize ๐ฅณ๐ Second was a resurgent Drew, who is back to winning ways again ๐....and as there were no winners on NTP 1 & 6.....a 3rd & 4th prize was awarded. Third on 16 points was 'Don Paulo' who is better now after his 'gout' ๐ฆถAnd 4th on 15 points was another bottle for Del ๐พ NTP on 5 was Simon, on 8 it was Darren and on 9, it was Rodney โณ๏ธ๐ฏ Another lovely day out golfing with loads of banter....see you all on Brava Thursday and Texas Saturday ๐โ๏ธ

Saturday 16th
Sunny Saturday saw more good scores and the 'Resurgence of Rodney' who smashed it with a super 18 points ๐ฅ๐ Two players followed on 16 points namely Tommy ๐ and Drew.....but as Drew was NTP also, both got bottles ๐ฅณ๐พAnd we'll done to an injured 'Don Paulo', who was NTP too ๐ Its been a busy week with players scores going down and up.....so the theme next week is consistency ๐ช The heat is back, so let's burn up the course ๐โ๏ธโณ๏ธ
Miraflores Away Day
Thursday 14 May was a lovely away day at Miraflores and 20 S&H golfers did battle in the sun ๐ And 2 golfers burned up the course with over 40 points ๐ฅ๐ Irish eyes were definitely shining as our champion of the day was Wayne with a cracking 42 points ๐๐Second, only 1 point behind, was Drew & he also won longest drive ๐ช 3rd place on 38 points went to Steve 'Jason' Hill and 4th place went to another Irishman, Damien, on 37 points ๐ฅณ๐ NTP awards went to Rodney & Simon (who got 2) โณ๏ธ๐พ Another fab day out on a great course with lightning fast greens. It's really hotting up right now....and I don't mean the weather ๐ The golf at La Noria today was red hot with scores of 18 points, 4 on 17 points, and 1 on 16 points ๐ฅ So who triumphed and who got burned ๐ฑ It was the handicap secretary 'Del' back to winning ways and securing the Guv'nor ๐ฅณ๐พ Second, with the lowest of the 4 handicaps was our club pro 'Simon' ๐๐๐ And NTP on both hole 5 and 8, was the same sharpshooter, 'Rodney', aka our Dave ๐ฏโณ๏ธ Therefore a 3rd prize was awarded and the next 17 point lower handicapper was Tommy ๐ ๐ Great golfing today and the course was in fabulous condition.
