Tuesday 11th August

What a Terrific Tuesday we had at La Noria, with the 22 players on top form & 9 players getting a cut to their handicaps (& no shots back) 👏💥 6 teams battled for the prizes including new players & guests......but who soared like an Eagle, & who dived like a Dodo 🦤 ? Handicap secretary Del took the honours with 19 points & a double cut to scratch 🏆 He never got wine as President Paul drank it last night 😡 2nd place on a super 18 points, was Eddie 🦅👏 And NTP on hole 1 was our new visitor 'Johnny' and on hole 8 it was an old visitor 'Tom' ⛳️🥳 Well played winners and at least you got your wine prizes 🍾 And well played all 22 players on a hot day.....we look forward to Salt n Pepper chip Thursday 🍟

Thursday 6th August 

2 players smashed Salt n Pepper Thursday, posting fabulous 20 point scores 💥 thats a double ✂️ ✂️ ....Top prize was a shoot out between Tony & Jim R, but Saga Jim took the honours due to his lower handicap...well played boys 🏆🍾👏 NTP on hole 8, was a return to form by Del ⛳️🍾 .....and it was good to see Don Paulo recover & double his last score to a respectable 12 points today 👏 Its hot & sticky....and we do it all over again on Saturday 🥳🌞

Tuesday 4th August

It was a truly 'Terrific Tuesday' for one player who diagnosed the difficulties of the course and cured the scorecard to win on a fab 20 points......just what the Doctor ordered 👨🏻‍⚕️🏆....well played Garry & keep taking the medicine 🥳 As for the rest.....2nd on 14 points (yes 14) was the washed up moviestar stunt double, Steve 'Jason' Hill....who had a lot of lucky shots 👏 NTPs on 4 and 8 were John S and Dr Garry again....so 3rd prize was awarded to Rodney on 13 points 👍🍾 Special mention to Don Paulo who scored 6.....its not the end of the world mate, but its close 🤪

Saturday 1st August

On an exceptionally hot & humid day, 3 x 4 balls took to the course to try & stay cool under pressure......but suffice to say, there were a lot of sweaty "shots back", after a tough 9 holes 🥵 It was king Geoff who scooped 1st prize on 14 points (15 - 1) to win, and he was also NTP on hole 1 💥🏆 Well played sir 👏Three other players had 14 points, so 2nd was Steve and third was Rodney....unfortunately Menno got no wine 🍾😒 NTP on hole 8 was a water 'bouncer' from John......the gods were kind today 🙏 No cuts and lots of shots back.....we pray for cooler winds on Tuesday 😎

Thursday 30th July

Well, what a scorching month of golf in hot, humid weather 🔥 And it culminated in the last day Texas Scramble team event 🏌‍♂️🏌‍♂️🏌‍♂️. Three crack teams of golfers played exceptionally well, one on a score of -3 and 2 on scores of -4 💥👏 On countback, team Del, Andrew, Ged & Jim won the coveted Guv'nor and the glory 🍾🏆..... And NTP on hole 8 was a cracker from Andrew ⛳️ Well played to all and the Wok buffet was fab too 🍟🍜 We move on to August now.....the year is flying in 🥵

Tuesday 28th July

So it was the 'Dual in the Sun' on Tuesday, for golfer of the month, as well as the usual Tuesday competition.....So, as Zahid sat in his house with his slippers on, did someone beat him to the prize 🤷🏻‍♂️🏆 Rodney gave it a good go but just fell short with 18 points 😱....but he took today's honours 🎖 Congrats to Zahid & Rodney 👏👏 Second & 3rd came in on 15 points and were awarded to Jim R and Ged 🥳🙌 Finally NTP on the easy hole 7 was Steve Hill....and on the difficult hole 8, it was Jim R ⛳️🎯 Drew & Paul gave it a good go to beat Zahid too, but he is crowned golfer of the month 👑🤴🏽. We'll played & remember it's Texas Scramble on Thursday.......yeeha 🤠

Thursday 23rd July

18 Hole Challenge 

We all love an 18 hole championship day and July's big game was on the hottest day of the year 🥵 Plus La Norias "white tees" proved to be very challenging 😱 But the weather wasn't the only record being broken, as a record score of 48 points took top prize 💥🙌 IT was handicap secretary "Del" who blitzed the field and took first prize 👑🏆 Second on a fab score of 42 points was Drew and 3rd on a very impressive 41 points was Andrew (off a low handicap of 10) 👏👏👏 NTP winners went to Andrew on 6 & 17....and Del on 8 🥳⛳️ So 4th prize was awarded to Wayne on 38 points 🍀 and 5th went to Steve on 36 points 🍾👏 It was fab, hot & fun day of golf, on a course that was challenging. Well played boys 🎖

A Hole In One From Rodney

Thursday 9th July

Well it was definately a hot Salt N Pepper day today 🥵🥵🥵. 12 players braved a 31 degree day 🥵🥵.
A big achievement today with another society “hole in one” on the 8th hole 🏌️‍♂️🏌️‍♂️
Rodders is the new addition to the “ Swingers & Hookers hole in one family”. Congratulations Rodders👏👏👏, and many thanks for picking up the drinks and Salt & Pepper bill 👏👏.
Overall winner on the day with another outstanding 18 points playing off 2 and now a further cut was Drew.
I have had it confirmed Paddy Power are now paying out that he is the July monthly award winner 👏👏👏👏.
Nearest the pin on the 8th hole, no 💩 Sherlock but it was Rodders with his hole in one.
Therefore, in the kindness of my heart we offered a one off prize on Thursday to second place. The honour went to Tony. This was deserved with a great 18 points. A nice cut comes with that prize 😂.
Saturday hopefully is forecasting some cooler temperatures 😎😎🥵🥵🏌️‍♂️🏌️‍♂️

Tuesday 7th July

On World Chocolate day, who was the top truffle, and who was careless with his wispa 😱🍫 He is bang on form right now and his purple patch continues.....Drew wins again with a fabulous 18 points 💥🏆🤟 Well played sir..... Two players came close on 17 points and both got a sweet treat 🥳 2nd was Jim 'Poldark' Rutter and third was Peter with his Irish charm 🍀 🍾 Well played & only 1 point behind.....plus, all 3 get a cut 🥳✂️ NTP on hole 7 was Jim (hence 3rd place) and on hole 8 it was another Irish charmer, our 'Wayne' 👏⛳️ Unfortunately Steve Hill collapsed under the new pressure of +1....and returns to zero.....our thoughts are with you Steve 🙏 Gentlemen, it was a sweet treat to see you play today 💋 🏌‍♂️and thank you for the Chinese nibbles afterwards 🤪

Saturday 4th July

Saturday wasn't just Independence Day.....it was D-Day.....or "Drews Day" 💥 He put up the prize, won the golf on 16 points and nearly got a hole in 1, on the NTP 8th 😱👏 Superb golfing & he joins the "h/c 3 club" now🏌‍♂️2nd on 14 points was bodeguita Geoff (on countback), & 3rd was Jim 'Poldark' Rutter 🥳👏 NTP on hole 7 (in 3) was Pete 🇮🇪....Fab golfing boys and thanks to Drew for putting the bottle back for another day 👏

Thursday 2nd July

A very hot Thursday session saw the boys melting in the hot sun.... but one player kept his cool to score a very good 16 points 💥 The Maharaja is back with a bang....well played Zahid 🥳🏆 NTP on hole 8 was a wee beauty....and I don't mean Geoff 🥴....moreso, it was his shot to win the coveted Guv'nor ⛳️💪 Well played boys and a fond farewell to Trevor.....see you in September amigo 😉

Well, that month went quickly 💥 and it was hot one with some fabulous golf. But, in the last day of the month, the teams assembled for Texas Tuesday, and a record equalling score of -5 was posted 🏆🙌💥 Congratulations to Team Del, Eddie and Menno 🥳🍾 NTP on the difficult hole 8 was Del....but the President & Treasurer refused him the bottle 🙄 Finally, Golfer of the Month for June was awarded and it was a close call 😵 The prize went to lucky Steve (aka Jason) who was his usual humble self 🤦🏻‍♂️ Well played Steve and great to see your score today 🤭 Thanks to all the S& H for a great month of golf.....now for a very hot July 🔥

Away Day June 23rd

Lauro Golf

What an "away day" at Lauro Golf on Tuesday, superbly organised by Dave "The Fysh" 👏👏👏 So who managed to 'perform' on the course, and who's performance failed to rise to the occasion 🍆🙄 On a lovely picturesque course, the moviestar golfer got his 'Oscar', with Steve 'Jason' Hill scoring a massive 38 points 💥🏆🍾....Great golfing from the shy guy superstar 🤦🏻‍♂️ In second place, on a fabulous 37 points was Mr i-golf 'Trevor', who delivered a giant performance on the day 🙌🥳 Great golfing you guys.....
3rd & 4th place were also awarded as some NTPs free'd up prizes. So, 3rd on 35 points was Rodney and 4th on 34 points was Del 👏👏👏
NTP on hole 11 was Jim 'Poldark' Rutter and Longest Drive was the big Dutch man "Menno" 💪🥳 Thanks to all the boys for participating on a hot, hot day and for the great organisation 🔥Onwards to the next big challenge and lowering our handicaps 🤞

Saturday 20th

Saturday was preparations for the big away day, so everyone wanted to perfect their game.......and it was a battle of the chuckle brothers for the title (to you, to me). At the end we couldnt separate Rodney & Steve who were on 16 points but, after several countbacks, Rodney took the prize 🥳🏆 But, there's more.....NTP on hole 6 was Rodney and hole 8 was Steve 😱......so 3rd & 4th were awarded. 3rd was Dr Garry on 14 points and 4th was Dave CW on 14 points 🔥👏 Finally, Longest Drive on the 7th hole was a beauty from Phil 💪🙌
Normal service resumes on Thursday after the away day and Rodney/Steve promised not to win everything again 🙄 🤪 Keeeeeeep swinging....

Thursday 18th

Salt n Pepper Thursday had one clear winner today, and it was just what the Doctor ordered 👨🏻‍⚕️Doc Garry cut thru the course like a scalpel and surgically removed the bottle of Gov'nor prize with 16 points, as well as the NTP prize on hole 8 💥🏆Brilliant 👏. Second place was awarded due to this and Zahid, also on 16 points, won a deserved bottle too 🍾🥳 As for the rest, we enjoyed the chips 🍟 🤪 Let's do it all again on Saturday 🏌‍♂️👍

Tuesday 16th

Sweaty Tuesday saw a big turn out at La Noria, with lots of hopefuls wanting the 1st prize of 'the guv'nor' 🍾....but "there can be only one" 🗡 So who won the battle of the bandits? It was a return to superhero form by our Eddie, scoring a fab 19 points 💥🥳🏆 Second was our visitor Mark on 17 points and he had a NTP on hole 8 too🫡👏 No NTP on hole 6, therefore third & fourth prizes were awarded. 3rd on a good 16 points was Tommy's boy 'Maddox' 🥳 ....and 2 tied on 15 points for 4rth prize....but the Dick Dasterdly of golf "Steve Hill", stole it from Trevor 🙈 Special mention to Tommy and Don Paul's sons....who both beat their dad's....hang your heads in shame boys 🫣🤪 See you all on Thursday boys and bring your sunscreen 🔥

Saturday 13th June

Saturday was scorchio at La Noria and two newbies made a big impact return, to wipe out the regular boys 🏆💥 In first place on 19 points, on 'countback' was Julian 🤴🏻💪🥳 The rest has done you well mate.....Second on 19 was the "son of the Don", 'Taylor' .....Great to have a golfer in the family at last 🤪 Geoff was just back from Belfast and was NTP winner on 2 holes🙌 ....and Darren won on hole 8...with Rodney on hole 9 ⛳️🥳. So a 3rd prize was awarded. Paul had an unusually great round with 18 points, so he got a bottle (and cut ✂️)🍾 A big thank you to our Irish amigo 'Donal', who donated monies for the bottles....safe journey home 👏👏👏 Yet another lovely day in paradise with the police helicopter hovering over the course.....what did Geoff get up to in Belfast 🤔🤣

Tuesday 9th June

A hot and humid Tuesday saw some old friends return to the S&H....and boy did they make their presence felt 💥 The first 3 ball took the awards with that cheeky Irish man "flash" Donal, winning on 17 points 🍾🏆 He has the quickest set up & execution ever....no messing 🥳 Robert B and Dave 'the fysh' were second on 16 points....but Robert took it with the lowest handicap 👏👏 NTP on difficult hole 6 was Robert 'Terminator' Todd, whilst on the easy 8th hole, Don Paul managed to get one close 🙈⛳️ Well played boys, and enjoy the wine......we do it all again on Thursday, with salt n pepper chips 🍟 🥳

Saturday 6th June

It was Super Saturday today at La Noria, and the test was a very difficult 18 holes, from the championship white tees 💥⛳️ The sun was hot, but the moviestar golfer Steve 'Jason' Hill, was in blockbuster form, scoring 40 points 🎬 🏆🏌‍♂️🎊 Second on 36 points was the Irish rover 'Wayne', 3rd on 35 points was John S and 4th on 33 points was Del.....enjoy the wine boys 🍾🍷 NTPs were won by Menno, Drew & Steve ⛳️🎯👏 A super, tiring day of difficult golf on very difficult tees. Well done for testing yourselves boys 💪

Brava Thursday saw low scores, but 2 managed a decent 14 points over the 9 holes with Dave CW taking the honours from Menno🥳 👏🏆...and NTP on hole 8 was Del again ⛳️🍾 Well played boys...

Tuesday 2nd June

The first Tuesday of June, saw the "Return of Rodney", and a notable 18 point win 🏆 💥🍾 Brilliant golfing......second on 17 points was Del and NTP on hole 6 was Rodney's grandson 'Simon', just in time as he returns to the UK on Sunday 🙌 Some good Saturday scoring.....and some not so good 🙈 Let's get back to winning ways on Thursday 🏌‍♂️🤞

Thursday 28th

Salt n pepper Thursday had one clear winner......and he's back with a bang 💥 Mr i-golf 'Trevor' said he'd get his mojo back....and a 17 point winning round proved that 👏🥳 Del had one of his poorest rounds, but a consolation 🍾 eased this with NTP on the 8th ⛳️ And thanks to Don Paulo for buying the chips after Spurs avoided the drop 👏 Great patter and fun as always boys.....now get set to Scramble on Saturday 🤠

Memorial Day

MEMORIAL DAY (3 club challenge) TROPHY 🏆 30 April 2026, La Noria....
Our second major of the season was played in beautiful sunshine and it started with lovely words of remembrance from Malcolm, showing the personalities of our departed friends, John, Ray and Colin 😪 After a respectful minutes silence, battle commenced for the coveted trophy.....but who chose the correct 3 clubs 🤔🏌‍♂️ Our role of honour was
