One Society, One Spirit – Golf for Friendship and Growth

  1. We are a friendly society built on friendship, fun and like-minded people.
  2. Fairness, respect and development of our golf game are key principles – not winning.
  3. We are one group of people and will not divide or fracture to accommodate any personal desires.
  4. It has to be fun, or what's the point?
  5. The rules and handicap system is there to balance the field and ensure everyone has a chance and no one is disadvantaged or left behind.
  6. We develop this as we move forward to ensure no one dominates or receives unfair advantage.
  7. We stand by the principle that it's nice to win, but it is not the dominant feature of our gatherings – self improvement and friendship is the key.
  8. We are open to all comments and suggestions from members – with the caveat being that "changes improve the society and everyone in it".

Rules of

Swingers & Hookers

  1. Balls in divots or dirty – can be moved / cleaned.
  2. Balls in bunkers – sand can be raked and ball replaced on it.
  3. Balls in 'red' penalty areas – 1 shot penalty drop where ball has entered, no nearer the hole and 2 club lengths. You may play your ball from within a red penalty area, provided you do not ground your club or move any loose impediments, without incurring a penalty stroke.
  4. Blue penalty areas = free drop (Max. 1 club length).
  5. Ball may have gone out of bounds – reload and play a provisional. When playing a provisional ball, you must clearly announce it to your fellow players and use a distinct marking to avoid confusion with your original ball.
  6. Damaged greens – you can move the ball away from the bad area, no nearer to the hole.
  7. Mark your own ball, so we know it's yours.

"That's the basics... none of us are Scotty Scheffler, so let's just enjoy our game and play as best we can👍"

⛳️ No one comes to golf 'not' to have fun 🤷🏻‍♂️
